Buscema Gastronomia has been in operation since 1992, the year the current company was founded.

 Its origins, however, date back to the early 1980s, when the Buscema family launched their first business venture in the food industry, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become the company we know today.

Specializing in the processing and distribution of grilled and oil-preserved vegetables, the company has, over time, introduced new production processes and methods that have enabled it to combine tradition, consistent quality, and greater efficiency in supply chain management.

Today, Buscema Gastronomia operates with state-of-the-art facilities, recognized certifications, and a product range designed to meet the needs of distributors, large-scale retailers, and Ho.Re.Ca. operators, while maintaining the same entrepreneurial spirit that has guided the family since its inception.

The history of Buscema Gastronomia dates back many years, to when Luigi Buscema, driven by a desire to build something of his own, left Calabria to move to Piedmont. There, he gained experience in the food industry working for a well-known local company, until he decided to strike out on his own.

He launched his business in Turin, offering homemade culinary specialties inspired by family traditions—a passion that has been passed down from father to son over the years.

Luigi Buscema can be considered a true pioneer: an entrepreneur who chose to innovate by drawing on his roots. Despite his success in northern Italy, his connection to his homeland remained strong and eventually led him to relocate his business back to his hometown.

Initially, the company focused on the preparation and retail sale of its products, gradually expanding its processing operations and product range to build a solid, well-established business. Over the years, its reputation and quality have enabled Buscema Gastronomia to grow and establish itself even beyond national borders.

Buscema Gastronomia offers a wide selection of specialties made with grilled and oil-preserved vegetables, which are at the heart of our production. Rounding out the range is a line dedicated to olives and marinated products, prepared using meticulous processes to ensure authentic flavor and consistent quality over time.

Our company is located in the industrial zone of Crotone, on a 13,000-square-meter site, of which 4,000 square meters are divided into 2,500 square meters of warehouses and refrigerated storage facilities.

It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology to ensure the highest sanitary standards in the production of gourmet specialties.

All of the company’s equipment and machinery are designed to handle high daily production volumes and the diverse demands of a constantly evolving market and customer base.

The company has always sought innovation—both in terms of production, by experimenting with new products to launch, and in terms of technology, as we care deeply about the environment.
